Conference Interpretation System

Our Interpretation system is a wireless simultaneous interpreter system using infrared light for audio transmission of up to 32 channels. Noise free reception is possible both in sunlight and where extremely bright artificial light is present. Receiver losses can be minimised when used with our patented Guard Module.

The audio signal (microphone, video conferencing, telephone, tape etc.) is usually directly sourced from a discussion system like DIGIMIC, CDSVAN or from a mixing console. The compact transmitter ICen IV, processes the audio signals to the language channels from where they are transferred on coaxial cable to the infrared radiators.
Each participant has their own INFRACOM infrared receiver with up to 32 channels (IRX32) so that they can listen in their own language. For big demands we are able to add to your own number of receivers from our worldwide rental stock. More information on Interpretation equipment.

The portable interpreter booth provides working accommodation for two interpreters. The whole booth can be assembled by means of hook fastenings.
The dimensions and weights of the individual modules make it possible to transport and assemble the booth by only one person. The vertical modules are made of a robust outer hardwood frame which surrounds a central panel made of a soundproofing laminate material. The booth is designed to take two low noise tangential fans ensuring an adequate amount of air circulating in the booth. In addition two reading lamps are provided for each booth.

The Interpreter Console is designed for the transmission of multiple channels. The control panel is divided into clearly organized function-oriented sections: monitoring – speaking – special functions. Via the two “Monitoring” function the interpreter can choose between an interpretation channel and the ORIGINAL channel using the RELAIS toggle switch. Volume, bass and treble are individually adjustable via separate controls.

The HEARING GUARD function draws the interpreter’s attention to the fact that the volume of his headphones is too high and his hearing is being put under too much strain.

We certainly also provide all transmitters, radiators, transponders, etc required to ensure the event runs as perfect as it should be.
