The system is used to support mobile tours and overcome potential background noise. It can also be used for multilingual content delivery during small events. A Tour counselor System comprises a mobile Audio Transmitter with an integrated microphone, wireless tour guide systems, and charging solutions. Tour Guide System Receiver The first key components of a Tour Guide Interpretation System are the Headsets or Receivers used by the participants. The headsets must be comfortable for the participants and provide the right battery life and connectivity reach. Modern tour Guide System can be used for indoor and outdoor events, conferences, and Touring events. Globibo’s Trip Counselor Systems are small and portable, making them very user-friendly.
Some countries thrive solely on tourism; hence, they constantly need to upgrade this sector to attract more visitors to the country. In tourism, the tour counselor plays a vital role as he/she will guide visitors by providing information and explanations on matters relating to history, archaeology, works of art, culture, places of interest, current affairs, etc., which may promote the country for tourism.

Tour Guide System Receiver: The first key components of a Tour Guide Interpretation System are the Headsets or Receivers used by the participants. The headsets must be comfortable for the participants and provide the proper battery life and connectivity reach. With years of experience worldwide, we balance Quality and Cost to offer you the best solution for your event.

We carry different Tour Guide System headset models in other countries. The receiver itself can be combined with different headsets. Every model has advantages and disadvantages, as well as technical configuration. Tour counselor Systems can use a variety of different earphones. The options consider comfort, audio volume, hygiene, and cultural aspects. We offer different technologies and headsets (ear hooks, headband, etc.) to support your setup the best way possible.
The basic Tour Guide or Mobile Interpretation System Infrastructure requires the right transmitters. Transmitters determine the range in which headsets can receive the audio transmission. Furthermore, most transmitters can broadcast several parallel channels, for example, in an environment where interpreters translate the presentation into different languages.
As Tour Guide Transmitters have to be portable, we also consult you in matters such as weight, broadcast reach, and battery time. Our experienced team of engineers also supports you with technical challenges or potential interferences in specific environments. We carry different Tour counselor Systems in different countries. The corresponding transmitter options have slightly different configurations based on the country and project setup.
Using Tour Guide Systems in larger events requires sophisticated charging infrastructure to ensure a seamless and hassle-free experience for participants and organizers. This infrastructure is needed to limit the total number of units required while maintaining the right connectivity for all participants. With our charging cases and high-speed charging concepts, we ensure that you are up and running as quickly as possible and save time and money during your event. Wireless Tour Guide System includes battery-powered wireless units for the participants that last for a specific period.
Even when all TGS units have been fully charged after several hours of use, the devices must be charged again. Our high-speed charging concepts ensure that you are not just up and running as quickly as possible but also save time and money during your event by reducing the number of devices used as spares or swaps. Our charging infrastructure follows industry standards by being secure and easy to handle. Not only that, but our systems can also be integrated with other hardware or software solutions to create an even larger reach. The charging infrastructure works on common electricity sockets and is conveniently packaged into mobile suitcases with wheels.
Key Criteria for the Charging Cases are:

Right Tour Guide Systems come with various microphones to ensure the presenter is understood in the right environment. The right microphones are determined by the transmission technology and the presentation environment (e.g., noise factory or windy weather). Furthermore, microphones may have to be waterproof and provide an independent power supply for several hours. To learn more about the different types of microphones, please get in touch with us.
Key Criteria for the Microphone selection are:

The Tour Guide System Transmitter requires a microphone for the speaker. The microphones can differ based on the speaker’s convenience and the event’s setup.
For more information, please check out Tour Guide System Microphones.
A standard option is the neckband microphone. It allows hands-free operation and, therefore, the most comfort to the speaker. The microphone direction itself is adjustable.
Cabled TGS microphones are another option for Tours. Speakers and Trip Guides may have different personal preferences. Often, neckband microphones are more convenient but have lower audio quality. Cabled hand-held microphones are slightly less convenient but may provide better audio quality.
The Lapel Microphone is clipped to the collar/blouse/jacket of the speaker and is another hands-free option for the speaker. It is also called a clip-on microphone.
A large variety of wireless microphones provide more comfort to the speaker. The specific model determines the range between the microphone and base station and can vary largely.
Different modern Tour Guide systems come with different charging cases, which are differentiated by charging capacity, charging time, ventilation, and transport case.
Tour Guide Systems require fast, safe, and space-efficient charging. To facilitate different event configurations, we provide different charging options for the Trip Counselor System options.
For more information, please check out Tour Guide System Charging infrastructure
Other charging cases may or may not provide (or require) in-built ventilation.
The example above does not require in-built ventilation. (For safety and security in the charging process, please always clarify the process and setup with our project managers.)

A tour guide system is a wireless communication setup that allows a guide or interpreter to speak into a transmitter and have the group listen via receivers and headsets. It ensures clear audio even in noisy environments and supports multilingual commentary.
The guide uses a microphone connected to a transmitter. Each participant wears a receiver with earphones or headphones, tuned to the transmitter’s channel. Whenever the guide speaks, the message is wirelessly broadcast to all receivers in the group.
Typical components include:A transmitter with microphoneMultiple receivers for participantsHeadsets or earphones for listenersRechargeable batteries or battery packsCharging cases or docking stationsChannels for multilingual support or simultaneous interpretation
Tour guide systems are ideal for:City walking tours or outdoor sightseeingMuseum, gallery or heritage site toursIndustrial or factory tours where ambient noise is highMultilingual tours or events needing simultaneous translationConferences or seminars requiring group listening without disturbance to others
Benefits include:Guides don’t have to shout or use loudspeakersParticipants hear clearly even when spread out or in noisy spacesLess crowding around the guide, improving comfort and safetyBetter inclusion of hearing-impaired visitors (with special receivers or loops)
Many systems support large groups; one transmitter can broadcast to dozens (even hundreds) of receivers depending on the model. Range depends on system specs, typical outdoor range might be 50-100 meters or more.
Yes. If multiple groups tour simultaneously in the same area, you’ll need multiple transmitter/receiver channels to prevent interference or crosstalk. Most professional systems support many channels for this purpose.
Battery life depends on the model, usage, and whether rechargeable batteries or standard batteries are used. Many systems provide all-day usage and charging cases to manage multiple receivers. It’s important to plan logistics for distribution, collection, and charging.
Absolutely. Many tour guide systems support simultaneous translation by using multiple channels or language options. They also often include features for hearing-aid compatible receivers (e.g., neck loops) or specialized headsets
Deciding to rent vs. buy depends on your usage frequency, budget and event types. Rental may be more cost-effective for occasional use; purchasing makes sense for frequent tours or when you want full control over equipment and maintenance.
Key factors include:Transmission range and signal reliabilityNumber of channels and flexibility for multiple groups/languagesBattery life and charging infrastructureEase of use (for guides and participants)Comfort and hygiene of headsets/earpiecesCompliance with local regulations and frequency bands
After a tour, you’ll typically need to collect again the receivers/headsets, recharge or replace batteries, inspect for damage, sanitize headsets (especially if reused), and ensure all units are in working order. Regular maintenance helps prolong the lifespan and reliability of the system.
Ans: There are no specific rules regarding the charging of the system. However, the system units are battery-powered, and the charge on all the units will last for several hours.
Ans: Yes, you can make the units in use last longer by reducing the number of devices used. Switch off the devices you are not using and remove the spare devices.
Ans: Yes, the system requires transmitters as these will determine the range to which the sound will travel. It will also select the audio channels that you can use.
